Pediatric Nurse Exam Secrets Study Guide PN Test Review for the Pediatric Nurse Exam edition by PN Exam Secrets Test Prep Team Professional Technical eBooks

I ordered this to help prepare for the ANCC pediatric certification exam. The material is disorganized. Literally goes from cardiac to development to GI/GU and then back to cardiac. It makes it very difficult to effectively organize content and study. Practice exam questions have outdated/incorrect answers (ex: ratio of chest compression on an infant in 2 rescuer CPR as 30:2 instead of most current BLS guidelines for 15:2). Having disorganized and outdated information is a fantastic way to ensure test candidates do not succeed. I'm pretty much giving up on this and using resources I have access to through my employer. I do not recommend anyone buy it. Only upside is it gives you, possibly (won't know until test day), some idea of what test questions will be like.

I read this book over a 2 month period to get ready for the PCN test, and then took the practice test a few days before my scheduled time and I passed on my first try- It only had one practice test at the end which is kind of a bummer, but it had a quick overview of many peds specific nursing
5 out of 5.

A great, straight to business review! Awesome review of growth and development, disorders and diseases, and nursing considerations! Quick and to the point on each topic but with support information to help reinforce.
I enjoyed reading this study guide for it’s content and easy format. I was able to read through everything without feeling overwhelmed or bored. Its very user friendly and helpful with my busy schedule
It has a lot of information that pertains to the pediatric populations that I take care of. Working on passing the CPN test. Hopefully this book will help. Will return with updates.
This was a great review book. It is simple, to the point, gives you the basic information you need to refresh your memory. I still recommend other resource materials to study to broaden your understanding of the subject matter; however, this study guide was excellent and convenient while out and about! I kept it in my car so I could always reference it to study on the go. I would recommend this book to anyone wanting to obtain their CPN.
It's a good general refresher of concepts. Nothing fancy, I feel it's a good added tool to the study plan.

Best part 150 practice questions that give you a general idea of how much more studying you should do

Cons lots of grammatical errors and punctuation. An index would be very helpful.

Overall recommended
Excellent study guide- really helped to focus on what the keys areas to study. Review questions were really helpful- wish there had bee more. The rationales for the questions were the best part of studying because they provided test taking strategies. Would definitely choose to use this source for future certification exams.
